I used Google as a search engine to find a website that I felt might be helpful to myself and my campus on implementing and using technology within the classroom. After observing some of the links I chose the website http://teachersnetwork.org. The website is designed for teachers and has a primary focus on technology. It is easy to navigate and has alot of useful information. There are several links on the home page which makes it very easy to navigate and find what you may be looking for. It provides current news and surveys that relate to content areas that would be beneficial to educators. The website provides data and information using technology applications using videos and podcast that would be beneficial to educators. The website also provides access to lesson plans that have technology applications designed within them. The website provides access for new teachers and research for educators as well. Teachers Network is a non-profit organization designed by teachers, for teachers, to improve student learning. Teachers Network focuses on professional development as the key to improving student achievement. Teachers Network leverages the creativity and expertise of a national and international community of outstanding educators to transform public schools into creative learning communities. Over the years, Teachers Network has directly impacted over 1.5 million teachers and nearly 40 million students. I would highly recommend this website to all educators that are interested in enhancing student learning with the implementation of technology in the classroom. I will use this website to aid in staff development for the educators on my campus.
